IHOP manager accuses fired employee of gun threat

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

There were some tense moments at a Jackson IHOP restaurant Sunday.

Jackson police officers were called to the IHOP on Briarwood Drive just off I-55 around 3:00 Sunday afternoon.

The restaurant manager had fired an employee and alleges that the employee went to the parking lot to get a gun.

According to Jackson police spokeswoman Colendula Green, the manager claims the disgruntled employee made verbal threats to him but never displayed a weapon.

Investigators spoke with all parties involved, but no arrests were made.
