Clinton bank robbery surveillance video released

CLINTON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Clinton Police continue to search for the man who robbed a bank.

The Merchants and Farmers Bank on U.S. 80 was robbed just before 4:00pm Tuesday afternoon.

There is new surveillance video of the bank robbery.

Clinton Police Chief Don Byington said the robber entered the bank and handed a teller a note.

The man did not display a weapon.

He took off through the bank's back door and ran north toward College Street.

He was wearing a white t-shirt and a baseball cap with an emblem on it.
