Woman fighting for life after motorcycle accident

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Jackson Police are investigating a motorcycle accident that injured a man and seriously injured a woman. JPD spokeswoman Colendela Green says authorities got the call around 10:23 Sunday night.

It happened on U.S. Highway 80 in front of Wendy's restaurant. Witnesses say a driver in a 1988 Chevy Capri pulled out in front of Steven Smalls, 42, and an unidentified female passenger.

The pair was on a motorcycle and Smalls is suffering from minor injuries. However, the female passenger endured a blow to the head and her condition is life threatening.

No word yet if charges will be filed against the driver of the Chevy.
