Ridgeland rape suspect arrested

RIDGELAND, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

A rape suspect is behind bars in Ridgeland. Romaro D Johnson was arrested by UMCC campus police at 3:30 Friday morning.

UMCC Police notified Ridgeland authorities that they had Johnson in custody.

Johnson is accused of raping a 15-year-old girl at knife point at a home on Greenbrook Drive last Sunday.

The 35-year-old will appear in Ridgeland Municipal Court at 11:30 this morning. Johnson is being held on no bond.
