
JACKSON, Miss. (AP) - Mississippi Gov. Haley Barbour says he's calling a special legislative session to begin Friday for at least one economic development bond issue. Barbour made the announcement during a news conference Monday.
Barbour said he will release details about the project or projects on Wednesday. The governor controls the agenda during legislative sessions.
Barbour, a Republican in the final year of his second term, has used special sessions for economic development projects I the past.
The legislature usually meets beginning in January.
