RALEIGH, MS (Mississippi News Now) -
Sheriff's deputies in Smith County have arrested a third person in connection with the beating death of a 21-year-old man.
Sheriff Charlie Crumpton says Tazah Hosey, 18, is now charged with murder. Deputies had already arrested two others -- Bronson James, 34, and Koda Williamson, 26 -- and charged them with murder.
Investigators say two groups of people got into a fight with each other on the night of Thursday, August 25, in front of an abandoned house on Highway 540 near the Simpson-Smith county line.
According to authorities, Jessie Beech, 21, of Raleigh was badly injured in the fight when he was beaten with a baseball bat. He was taken to a hospital in Jackson, where he died on Saturday.
