RIDGELAND, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

The man accused of holding the knife at the throat of a teenager while sexually assaulting a teenager in Ridgeland will remain behind bars and faces additional felony charges.

Lt. John Neal said 35 year old Romaro Johnson was also charged with being a felon in possession of a dangerous weapon during Tuesday morning's bond hearing.

Municipal Court Judge Hal McCarley also denied him bond on the one count of sexual assault.

A 15 year old said Johnson held a knife to her neck while raping her behind a home on Greenbrook Drive.

Police are still investigating information from anonymous phone calls to see if there are other victims.

Johnson has previous Department of Corrections convictions for drug charges and business burglary.

Ridgeland Prosecutor Boty McDonald said Johnson is a flight risk.

According to investigators he was captured at University Medical Center where a family member told him to hide until they could get him out of town.

Johnson's preliminary hearing is set for September 13th.
