SMITH COUNTY, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Smith County sheriff's deputies have made three more arrests in connection with the beating death of 21-year-old Jessie Beech.

Danny Holt, Jr., Joseph Chace and Waylon Hoover, all of Simpson County, are charged with Aggravated Assault in connection with Beech's death.

Sheriff Charlie Crumpton says Tazah Hosey, 18, Bronson James, 34, and Koda Williamson, 26, are all charged with murder.

Investigators say two groups of people got into a fight with each other on the night of Thursday, August 25, in front of an abandoned house on Highway 540 near the Simpson-Smith county line.

According to authorities, Jessie Beech, 21, of Raleigh was badly injured in the fight when he was beaten with a baseball bat. He was taken to a hospital in Jackson, where he died on Saturday.

Sheriff Crumpton tells WLBT News, one more arrest in the case is expected, and they suspect the argument was over drugs.
