Trio indicted for security guard death

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Three men have been indicted in connection to a double shooting that happened at a Jackson convenience store back in July.

A Hinds County grand jury indicted 21-year-old Kameron Woodard, 29-year-old Derrick Johnson, and 23-year-old Aaron McNair for capital murder and aggravated assault.

The men are accused in the shooting death of security guard, James McKinney.

A clerk was also shot and injured during the attempted robbery.

It happened in the early morning hours of July 26th at the Shell station on Fortification Street and Jefferson Street.
