Rosemary Barbour ordered to pay more than $350K back

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Rosemary Barbour, the wife of Governor Haley Barbour's nephew and former Hinds County Supervisor Charles Barbour has been ordered to pay more than $350,000 in penalties and damages to FEMA.

On August 24th, a federal claims judge ruled in what was described as a scheme to defraud the government.

Barbour's company Alcatec, LLC received nearly $6.4 in contracts for Hurricane Katrina Disaster Relief. She filed a claim against FEMA in 2008 alleging she was still owed money on the contract.

FEMA filed a counter claim which resulted in the judge's ruling.
