One man shot in the head, another taken to jail

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Jackson Police were investigating a shooting that sent one man to the hospital Sunday.  It happened in the 900 block of West Pearl Street outside of St. Mark's Villa, a personal care home, around 3:00 p.m. Sunday.

According to Officer Colendula Green, officers responded to a report of shots fired.  A 64-year old man was transported by AMR to UMC.  A 74-year-old man was taken into custody. 

Right now police said the bullet entered and exited the head of the 64-year-old, but his injuries were not believed to be life threatening. 

 The identities of the victim and suspect have not yet been released.
