1200 pm  09/04/2011 Wind damage in Prentiss

Jefferson Davis Emergency Management - A number of reports of trees down overnight and this morning. Power outages overnight but have been resolved this morning.


1252 pm Wind Damage south of Hattiesburg

Forrest County Emergency Management reports limbs down in Carnes. Tree down near Rawls Springs in northern Forrest County.


0547 pm Flood in Cleveland 

Bolivar county law enforcement reports that Bishop Road and College Road starting to flood. Some other roads also flooded.


0740 pm Tornado 7 miles southeast of Hattiesburg

Forrest County - public public report of a tornado off of Hwy 49 near Camp Shelby.


0815 pm Tornado 4 miles south southwest of Collins

Covington County emergency management reports damage to a barn and a home at the same location at the intersection of Lyons and Mt Horeb Rd.


1120 pm Flash flooding in Ridgeland

Madison County law enforcement reported flooding on I-55 just south of the Natchez Trace exit with a few accidents reported: reported by Ridgeland PD.

Rankin County public report of major flooding on Carol Ave in Florence with water almost inside a mobile home. Reported by WLBT-TV

0300 am Flash flood Pearl

Rankin County trained spotter saw water approaching mobile homes in the Highlands Mobile Home Park off of Greenfield Road...residents having to move cars to higher ground.


0321 am Tornado in Raleigh

Smith County public possible tornado...numerous trees down in raleigh area.


0325 am Flash flood in Florence

Rankin County NWS employee reported water surrounding or entering multiple homes in the city of Florence. Steen creek is out of its banks and making roadways impassable.


0425 am Flash flood Jackson

Hinds County emergency management reported several roads across the city of Jackson are impassable due to flooding. Water was entering some homes.


0425 am Flash flood 6 miles north of Terry

Hinds County emergency management reports flood water entered 3-4 homes in the Meghan Road and Highland Cove areas of Byram.


0425 am flash flood in southwest Jackson

Hinds County Emergency management reported an apartment complex along Robinson Road was being evacuated due to flooding.

Hinds County emergency management reported water was entering 2-3 homes in Clinton.

Neshoba County emergency management reports route 488 flooded near intersection with Hwy 19.

Neshoba County emergency management reports tree down across route 2642


0550 am Flash flood 2 North of Madden

Leake County public report that hwy 488 near Jolly Road is flooded

Madison County law enforcement reported a tree down on a power line on Livingston Road...reported by Ridgeland PD


0610 am non-tstm wnd gst Crystal Springs

Copiah County emergency management reported a few trees down in the Crystal Springs area


0618 am non-tstm wnd gst 5 miles southeast of Vicksburg

Warren County emergency management reported a few trees have been blown down across the county from strong gradient winds behind the rain. A car struck a tree on Hwy 27 south of I-20 injuring one occupant. A few power outages are also occurring.


0725 am flash flood Flowood

Rankin County NWS employee reported eight cars at Barnett Body Shop had water around halfway up the car doors off of Airport Road.


0800 am flash flood Forest

Scott County public radio station WQST is flooded.


0800 am Flash flood Ridgeland

Madison County NWS employee reports Brashears Creek is well out of its banks. Rice road closed due to water across it.

Neshoba County emergency management reports several roads in Philadelphia now closed. Portions of hwy 19 south of philadelphia closed.


0800 am Flash flood Flowood

Rankin County NWS employee reported creek running under Flowood Drive at Air National Guard Base well out of its banks. Water partially over Flowood Drive...and completely covering access road to angb off of Flowood Drive.


0841 am Flood 5 miles south of Brookhaven

Lincoln County emergency management reported several roads flooded south of of brookhaven flooded. Storm total of 8.87 inches of rain at eoc in brookhaven.


0841 am Flash flood Columbia

Marion County emergency management reports several streets flooded


0910 am Flash flood Forest

Scott County law enforcement reported numerous roads flooded in Scott County. Water across Interstate 20 between mile markers 77 and 80. Interstate may have to be closed. Structures flooded in Forest on South Main Street.

0910 am Flash flood Ludlow

Scott County law enforcement reported homes and structures flooding in the Ludlow community. People are trapped.
