JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

One hundred troopers took to the streets…outside of their squad cars Thursday morning. Troopers ran about three-fourths of a mile to raise awareness about the Blair E. Batson Hospital for Children.

The troopers ran from Millsaps College to the children's hospital. Pat Cronin, the Director of the State Law Enforcement Academy says his grandson received treatment at Blair E. Batson.

Cronin says, "Colton when he was a pre-teen he had two heart procedures done here, he's now healthy as you can see, he runs track for high school in Clinton and we couldn't be more proud of his accomplishments and the healthcare that he received here at Blair Batson."

The troopers raised $15,000 for the Blair E. Batson Hospital.
