RANKIN COUNTY, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

A Rankin County pharmacist indicted on sex crime charges is scheduled to go to trial September 19 in Brandon.

Tuesday, District Attorney Michael Guest told WLBT News Timothy Rigdon, 38, faces two counts of statutory rape and sexual battery. He is accused of having sex with an underage female.

According to Rankin County Sheriff Ronnie Pennington, the charges against Rigdon stem from an alleged relationship he had with a juvenile over a period of time.

Rigdon was indicted by a Rankin County Grand Jury in 2009.

He is the owner of Specialty Pharmacy in Flowood.
