Update: Man injured, not shot in head

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

The injuries to a man caught in gunfire Saturday night are not as bad as authorities first thought.

Around 9 p.m. Jackson Police responded to what they thought was a man shot in the head. It's unclear where the incident occurred, but 33-year-old Terrell Sutton drove himself to 660 Forest Avenue and that's where police found him.

Turns out Sutton was injured in the head as he tried to escape the bullets. He was not shot.

The scuffle took place after some sort of argument with another male.

Sutton was taken to UMC.

Detectives have not yet charged any one in the incident.
