Pharmacist Sentenced in Sexual Battery Case

Posted: Updated:

Brandon pharmacist Timothy Rigdon pleaded guilty to two counts of sexual battery. Rigdon was charged with having sex with a minor. He received a 15 year suspended sentence and five years probation. Rigdon also paid a fine of $2500.

John Collette represented rigdon and says the sentence is adequate because the pharmacist will likely lose his license. "So the penalty goes farther than just the sentence," said Collette. "It also effects his employment and this traumatic parameters and requirements of the sex offender registration. He has to do that every 90 days, so there's a tremendous penalty he's paid."
