JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Jackson police caught the men responsible for a burglary in the Virden Addition Wednesday morning after a tip from a resident.

Shortly after 10 a.m., police responded to Marion Dunbar Street after a neighbor saw several men leaving a house armed with weapons.

When officers arrived, the group of men split up and ran.

Officers were able to chase down two of them and place them in custody.

Police say the men were in possession of a shotgun and money they believe were taken in the burglary.

Officers returned to a house at 2813 Booker Washington Street Wednesday afternoon.

During a search of the property, they located numerous items stolen in the burglary, and made two more arrests.
