Man fights for his life after early morning shooting

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Jackson police are on the hunt for the person responsible for shooting a man inside a west Jackson bar.

Police spokeswoman Colendula Green says officers received a call about a shooting inside Visions Sports Bar and Lounge just after 4:00 Thursday morning.

Police say the victim was shot in the stomach inside the bar. He has been identified as Tyson Dixon, 31. He is being treated at a Jackson hospital for injuries described as life-threatening.

Police say a number of people in the bar were taken to JPD headquarters for questioning, but no one has been arrested.
