There's no lip-synching, back-up bands or safety net when it comes to singing a capella and the NBC reality show, The Sing Off, is looking for the best of the best.
That talent may be found in Madison, Mississippi; at least, the parents of three of the contestants hope so.
David Jennings, Perrin Lamb and Jonathon Lister are members of a group called The Collective, and are scheduled to compete on Monday.
We caught up with Jennings' mother, the choral director at Madison Middle School and Lamb's father, coach Billy Lamb.
"Oh yeah, I've always been proud of Perrin and my daughter Jamie, too. We're all kind of musical around the Lamb house" said coach Lamb.
"He was lucky to have it from both sides, but he's been singing as long as he could speak and he wrote his own first song when he was about 5" said Donna Crisler.
The groups are competing for a Sony Music recording contract and a $200,000 cash prize. You can watch The Sing Off Monday night from seven to nine p-m right here on WLBT.
