Police responded to I-55 near Pearl Street about 1 a.m. Saturday. The call was to investigate a wreck. When authorities got to the scene they found a different scenario.

"We found an abandoned vehicle at the scene along with some other evidence that we collected so we are still just trying to process it and hopefully find who ever abducted the victim," said Jackson Police Officer Colendula Green.

Police have identified the victim as 31-year-old Latonya King. She's described as 5'1" and weighing 180 pounds. She was last seen wearing khakis and a blue shirt.

WLBT asked, "Were the windows broken out, was there any blood, can you expound on the evidence?"

"Well right now we can't disclose all those details. It's still under investigation, so once we've done that we'll definitely tell you guys," Officer Green added.

Sources have also told us that Ms. King's car was forced to the side of the road, northbound I- 55. It's at that point she was kidnapped.
