Stormy Early...

Posted: Updated:

Strong storms with small hail is the main threat for today.. Also, the tropical air mass over us will allow for these storms to produce heavy rain. Flash flooding has been an issue as multiple storms move over the same areas.

The risk for strong winds or tornadoes is very slim. But, if a storm can form right along the warm front or just south, it could produce strong winds or even a tornado. Again, that threat is very low and not likely to materialize. The warm front will continue to lift northward on Tuesday. More scattered storms are possible late today and tonight.

It appears a stronger cold front will push the unsettled weather out of our region late in the work week. The weather for this weekend will be sunny, dry, and feature comfortable humidity levels.

Highs will be in the middle and upper 80s the next few days, with lows in the 60s. Highs this weekend will be in the 70s, with lows in the 50s and maybe even some 40s Sunday morning.
