JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

A Jackson municipal court judge denied bond for the man arrested for allegedly killing a Jackson toddler.

Christopher Bradley stood before Judge Jennifer Studabaker during his initial court appearance Wednesday morning. Bradley was arrested in connection to a fatal drive-by shooting. That shooting took place on Donaldson Drive in south Jackson on Sunday.

Two year-old Romerion Rhodes was shot in the head after eleven bullets pierced through the car he was riding in. Romerion's dad was shot in the head and back.

Bradley is charged with murder and aggravated assault. Authorities are unsure of how much time Bradley could spend in prison.

Jackson police officer Colendula Green says, "it really pretty much is left up to the court system, but it is unfortunate anytime when a child's life is taken over a senseless act I think it sets a precedence of a sad tone throughout the community. "

Bradley is expected to appear in Hinds County court for a preliminary hearing in about three weeks.
