Clinton man accused of murdering friend

Posted: Updated:

Clinton authorities are investigating the city's first murder in 2011. The last murder in the quiet suburb of Jackson was back in 2009.

Investigators tell us, the killing was possibly drug related. 34 year old Bradley Robinson was arrested at his home and is accused of gunning down his longtime friend. Robinson faces murder charges and a pending charge of a felon with possession of a weapon.

Clinton Detective Josh Frazier said 36 year old Corey Williams was shot to death after the two got into an altercation.

Family members told police Williams went to Robinson's house at 306 Marachino Drive to collect money he was owed. Detective Frazier said the two had been arguing over money for months.  Both men had  run-ins with the law in the past.
