More Sunshine, More Warmth...

Posted: Updated:

Clear, 84°

Skies will be clear today and won't be as chilly during the overnight hours. High pressure continues to allow for mild conditions to kick off this week of the state fair. No cold snap expected, in fact, it may become 'almost hot' for the fair festivities this weekend as temps are expected to soar into the upper 80s. Winds are also shifting, making it feel that much warmer as well since they will be pushing out of the south east. As early as tomorrow we'll have warmer weather taking over and pushing the afternoon temps into the upper 80s. Mind you, we're not expecting any record highs, that would require us to get into the upper 90s. However, it will warm up quickly during the afternoon hours. This is also the Homecoming week for JSU festivities, and the weather will stay cooperative for that effort as well. The next chance of rain may manifest by Monday, and that's only a small 20% at best at this time. The lack of rain continues to allow the pollen count to stay elevated as well..
