In 500 words or less, please describe why you feel your nominee deserves to be honored for the Strength in Pink Award.  If possible, please provide specific accomplishments::

Ella is my aunt. She is the 8th child of nine children from Mrs. Dorothy Ragsdale. Ella has been the back bone of our entire family since I was born, that's 35 years and still counting. Ella helped my grandmother raise all children and adults in our family. I can remember her being at my basketball games and taking me shopping. She was there when I got sick and supported me unconditionally. She was there when I became a teenage mother and motivated me to finish school. My aunt Ella has financially supported every individual in our family without a single complaint. When my brother died she paid for his funeral without hesitation. My aunt always tell us that we should bless others as God has blessed us. When she found out that she had cancer, we all cried together.

Cancer is not considered an illness in our family; cancer is considered a trial, tribulation, or a test from the Lord. On days when she had treatments she still found the strength to do work or guide others on he rjob via telephone and instruct them. She never one time complained about her illness. She always believed that if God bought you it He will bring you through it. There are several things that I can say, but the love and dedication she has  for God and her family stands for it all!
