Second arrest in south Jackson murders

A second man has been arrested in the September deaths of two south Jackson men. Twenty-six-year-old Fredrick Champion was arrested Friday morning in Crystal Springs and is charged with two counts of Capital Murder.

The US Marshall Task Force assisted in Champion's arrest.

Thursday, Jackson Police arrested 16-year-old Zachary Smith. He's also facing two counts of Capital Murder.

The murders occurred on the night of September 25th, at 3881 Meadow Lane, in south Jackson. The homeowner, 32-year-old Terrance James and a friend, 27-year-old Brandon Williams were found shot to death.

Police think robbery was the motive.
