Developer has winning bid for former federal courthouse

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

One million 450-thousand dollars, that was the winning bid for the former Eastland Federal Building Wednesday.

David Watkins and Associates purchased the building through the Federal GSA Auction site.

Watkins tells WLBT they plan to turn it into a school of fine arts.

They will have more information in the coming days.
