High pressure has slid east of the area this morning. Now that we are on the back side of the high, warmer temperatures will begin to move in. I expect highs in the middle 70s this afternoon, with some clouds possible.
A weak upper level system will move over us tonight and Sunday. It will bring more clouds than anything else, but a few showers are possible in the western half of the state.
The warm-up will continue through the first half of the work week. Highs will be in the 80s and lows in the 50s Monday through Wednesday.
The forecast is highly uncertain toward the end of the work week and next weekend. A strong cold front will be knocking on our doorstep, at the same time model data suggests some sort of tropical system may be heading northward into the Gulf. Stay tuned for changes in the forecast for late week.
