Bomb threat evacuates Pearl business

PEARL, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Employees of a business in Pearl were sent home early after a bomb threat was called into police.

An anonymous source called Pearl police saying that a bomb was located at a food processing plant called "Traditions."  The business is located at 100 Valley Street.

When police arrived on the scene they blocked off the roads leading to "Traditions."Employees were sent home for the day while police searched the building.

Butch Townsend, the public information officer for the Pearl Police Department says, "obviously we had to evacuate the building and make sure no explosive device was present."

Pearl police think an upset employee may have called in the bomb threat.
