JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

An internet blind date ends in gunfire at a Jackson hotel.

Jackson Police say an unidentified man was shot in the arm at the Extended Stay Deluxe Hotel on Beasley Road around 2:00 Tuesday afternoon.

The shooting victim told investigators that he communicated with a woman on the internet site backpage.com and met her at the hotel.

He says they were then approached by two men and one opened fire.

The victim fled to the Jameson Inn across the street for help.

Police say the woman had a room at the Extended Stay where the two men were later found.

All three have been taken into custody.

Investigators were examining a dark gray four door Toyota with Madison County tag at the scene.

The shooting remains under investigation.
