Teen charged with attempted kidnapping in Byram

BYRAM, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Byram Police say media reports led to an arrest in connection with an attempted kidnapping.

Wallace Dwight Owens, 18, is accused of attempting to kidnap a woman at Walgreens Sunday.

Owens made his initial appearance in Byram Municipal Court Wednesday.

Bond was set at $350,000.
