High pressure is building back into the area, clearing our skies out and making for a little nicer weather day. After a cool start to the day, temperatures will warm to near 70 this afternoon. Our winds will switch from the north to the southeast by late today.
Quiet weather will continue into Sunday. Temperatures will fall back into the 40s tonight, with highs on Sunday near 70. Southerly winds will help to warm us into the middle 70s on Monday.
I'm still tracking a weather system that will have a huge impact on our weather for the middle of next week. Low pressure will track from central Oklahoma to the Great Lakes region on Tuesday into Wednesday. This low will help a cold front move through our region Tuesday night.
I expect rain and some heavy storms along the front, from late Tuesday through early Wednesday afternoon. A few strong or severe storms are possible, mainly the Delta, but I do not expect a widespread severe weather event at this time.
Finally, don't forget Daylight Saving Time ends on Sunday morning at 2am. Set your clocks back one hour tonight. This is also a good time to replace the batteries in your smoke alarm and weather radio.
