The polling place in Terry at Terry high school is the largest voting precinct in Hinds County. As of noon on Tuesday, more than 400 people had come out to cast their votes.
Voting went pretty seamlessly and voters and election officials say there weren't any issues with voting machines or ballots.
However, in the event that issues do come up, Secretary of State Delbert Hosemann told says that 54 technicians are scattered in precincts all across Mississippi watching the voting machines to make sure they're working properly.
In addition to technicians, officials from the Secretary of State's office are positioned in 44 counties monitoring the election. Also, the Attorney General's office has staff out monitoring various precincts.
In addition to folks voting for various candidates, lots of voters say they've also come out to voice their opinions on three controversial issues related to Voter I.D., Eminent Domain and Personhood.
