Third suspect charged in south Jackson double murder

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Authorities have made a third arrest in a September double murder that took place in south Jackson.

Donte Sheppard, 17, turned himself into U.S. Marshals Monday and has now been charged with 2 counts of murder.

The shootings happened September 25. That night, Terrance James, 32, and Brandon Williams, 27, were killed in a house on Meadow Lane. James was the homeowner.

Police have identified Williams as a robbery suspect.

Back in October, Zachery Smith and Fredrick Champion were arrested in the case.

All the suspects are now charged with 2 counts of capital murder.
