How many times have you been on the highway only to look up in your rearview mirror to see a huge truck barreling down on you or nearly hugging your bumper?
If some in Congress have their way, not only will you see more of that, but even bigger, even gigantic trucks.
There is a proposal to extend weight limits to 80,000 pounds for tractor trailer rigs.
But another proposal would extend weight limits to 97,000 pounds and allowing up to three trailers to be pulled.
That's what may come out of Mexico if the U.S. Department of Transportation has its way.
Fortunately, our MDOT says no to this absurd proposal.
Destruction of bridges and highways would increase not to mention more serious accidents.
Its just not worth it.
That's my Point of View
