Ridgeland police were called to the final crash site on Lake Harbor Drive near Wolcott Circle around 5:30 Saturday evening.

According to investigators, that's where 20-year-old Denarrio Reed of Flora crashed his vehicle in a ditch then approached a white Chevrolet Trail Blazer and pulled out the driver.

Police said Reed then drove west on Lake Harbor toward Highway 51, hitting several vehicles along the way.

Authorities said he caused at least motorist to suffer minor injuries.

Reed reportedly continued in the stolen SUV until he wrecked again at Wolcott Circle.

Lt. Neal said the Madison County man got out and attempted to take two other vehicles, but the drivers were able to get away.

He then ran toward Highway 51 where Ridgeland police officers took him into custody.

Reed faces charges of unarmed carjacking, attempted carjacking, leaving accident scenes and several other violations.
