Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority hosts Thanksgiving dinner

The Beta Delta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority hosted it's annual Thanksgiving dinner.

The lunch is always held the Sunday before Thanksgiving and is the official kick-off of the holiday season for the sorority. It was held at the Bethlehem Center on north Blair Street in Jackson.

Chapter members met with community members and provided a full Thanksgiving dinner complete will all the trimmings.

Sorority members say it's their way of giving back to the community. The organization's agenda is service to the community. The local chapter has also adopted a family for Christmas and will provide food and gifts for that family.
