Thirteen of the 14 defendants in a scheme involving the state health plan have now pleaded guilty.
Authorities say the $500,000 insurance fraud scheme involved the state and Jackson Public School District's Employee Health Insurance Plan.
Zaveon Cooper, 36 years old and a Jackson resident, was sentenced to 12 years in prison Tuesday for his role, ordered to pay restitution and serve five years of supervised probation after his release.
Crystal Barnes, 36 years old and a resident of Jackson, was ordered to serve five years in prison, pay restitution and serve five years of supervised probation after her release.
