Sunny Thanksgiving, Rainy Saturday & C-C-COLD SUNDAY!!!!

Posted: Updated:

The clear start to the morning hours is evidence of high pressure continuing to rule the day and night in the Mississippi Valley region as well as most of the eastern half of the U.S.  We have a double dose of high pressure with one to our north east near Kentucky and West Virginia, the second one in Arkansas; both aiding in keeping it bright and sunny today. Expect a high of 67 degree, winds E 5-10mph.

Tonight will be clear as well, but after the midnight hour we may see a subtle change aloft and on the ground. Scattered clouds will begin to push into our area by the late night and early morning hours. Additionally we may see some areas of patchy fog. Temps will fall into the lower 40s.

Tomorrow sunshine returns with a few clouds in the mix. The additional moisture in the atmosphere will make it 'feel' warmer. That, along with temps climbing higher than the norm, will make for a very mild Friday; and winds from the south east.

Expect showers to kick in on Saturday; the best time for the rain is in the afternoon hours. Clouds will thicken quickly during the mid morning hours. And a cold front is expected to push through, possibly making for a few strong storm that could turn severe.
