
A five-year-old boy was struck by a car on Combs Street in south Jackson as he tried to cross the street.
Jackson Police Officer Colendula Green says Jarvion Landry was taken to a hospital where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Witnesses say a 45-year-old woman driving a 2006 Kia Spectra was traveling eastbound on Combs Street and braked just before striking the child.
Officer Green says no charges have been filed against the driver.
