JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

The largest collection of frogs you'll see can be found at the Mississippi Museum of Natural Science.

The frogs exhibit is on loan to the museum from the Audubon Nature Institute and features 80 frogs and 27 different species. The museum staff has recreated the natural habitats of the frogs that are from Asia, Australia and South America.

Experts say frogs can easily adapt to their surroundings and eat everything from crickets to flies to worms and some even eat mice.

"They are very prolific eaters. They'll eat anything that fits into their mouths. She'll eat until you stop feeding her, a very sweet frog. She even recognizes you when you walk into a room," said Mary Alstin, frog expert.

Officials say there are also interactive stations incorporating the impact frogs have had on popular culture and mythology.

The exhibit opened in July and will run through January 9th. @
