Car hits traffic cam pole

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

A driver walked away without serious injury after running a car into a utility pole in Jackson Monday morning.

The accident happened at the intersection of Lakeland Drive and Ridgewood Road.

The driver of a blue four-door Dodge reportedly lost control and slammed head-on into a metal pole.

The impact of the crash peeled back the front fender and tire on the passenger side of the car.

The pole holds MDOT traffic cameras.

Just a couple of days ago, a light pole at that same intersection was knocked down after being hit by a vehicle.
