Woman shot in boyfriend's car while fleeing altercation

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Around 8:35 Wednesday night a 25-year-old woman was shot inside her boyfriend's car at Mayes and Sears street.

Officer Green says the woman's boyfriend was involved in an altercation with a group of people when he got into his car to drive off.

The group followed them and opened fire on his vehicle. The woman was hit in her left eye. Officer Green says she is in stable condition.
