
MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) - T.J. Yeldon ran for three touchdowns and Alabama's defense dominated in a 31-12 win in Saturday's Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Classic at Cramton Bowl.
Yeldon, a running back from Daphne who has committed to Auburn, ran 16 times for 116 yards and caught three passes for 37 yards. He had TD runs of 2 and 9 yards in the second quarter and 37 yards in the fourth.
Mississippi had just 60 yards total offense, including 2 yards rushing, and failed to score an offensive touchdown.
Alabama quarterback Jameis Winston of Hueytown, a Florida State commitment, had an 11-yard run late in the second quarter. He leaped into the end zone with 34 seconds left to give Alabama a 24-3 lead.
Winston finished 17 of 24 passing for 121 yards and two interceptions.
Greg Sims of Brookhaven was Mississippi's most valuable player. Sims returned a punt 51 yards for a touchdown in the third quarter. Yeldon was Alabama's MVP.
