The Mississippi Chapter of Jack and Jill of America held its annual Christmas party Saturday at the Jackson Medical Mall.
This year's party was the 18th annual. It's the organization's signature service event. Hundreds of area children and their parents turned out for the party. They had pictures taken with Santa Clause, played games, had something to eat and were entertained. Organizers say everyone enjoyed themselves.
"They have sat on Santa's knee, and played the games, they've eaten, they're happy. We have door prizes for the parents, so the parents are happy and so we're happy," said Mitzi Paige, president of MS Chapter of Jack and Jill of America.
Established in 1938, Jack and Jill of America is an organization of mothers with children ages of 2-to-19. It is dedicated to developing future leaders by supporting children through development, volunteer service and civic duty.
