Rainy & Then Getting Colder???

Posted: Updated:

A slow moving cold front will stall across northern parts of the area tonight. This will keep clouds and periods of rain over us through the night. We're watching out for an occasional  rumble of thunder, but there are no worries about severe weather. Temps are expected to stay in the 50s most of the day.

The cold front will work its way through the area throughout the day. Periods of rain will continue, with rain tapering off through the afternoon and evening hours. Total rainfall amounts will range from 1/2" to over 3.5" (Natchez) due to the steady nature of the showers

For this evening most of the rain should come to an end. The shift in winds will also make the feeling of ole' man winter to come back in style; so to speak. Saturday morning will be clear, but starting off in the mid 30s. Thanks to the sunshine, we'll rebound to normal temps on Saturday afternoon to the upper 50s.

Sunday will be milder and warmer. Temps will climb into the 60s on Sunday with mainly sunny skies. Winds will be shifting from the south as well; increasing our comfort level.
