JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

One Jackson woman is starting Christmas early by giving now.

Pearlie Flowers was out in downtown Jackson Friday morning giving out cups of coffee,  complete with cream and sugar to the homeless.

In addition, she was handing out "Christmas bags". The Good Samaritan even got an early start flowers was set-up near the Greyhound Bus station at 7 a.m. She and her friends simply pooled their own money together to pay for the presents.

"There are people that are in need that are not in shelters. They're on the streets of Jackson, so what I'm doing this morning is just going out, riding around I put some Christmas bags together and I just want everybody to feel like somebody cares about them. It's the holiday season and I want everybody to know that they're loved," said Flowers.

Flowers was also passing out the same goodies on terry road. By the time we caught up with her, she had served 15 people. She had enough coffee and bags for dozens more.
