Ridgeland Police search for 2 suspects, arrest 1

RIDGELAND, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Ridgeland Police made one arrest and were searching for two other suspects in connection with an armed robbery.

24 year old Jeremy Ward of Brandon is charged with one count of armed robbery and was being held at the Madison County Detention Center Tuesday.

Investigators say Ward, and a white female entered a room at the Red Roof Inn on Adcock Street after asking the occupant to use the phone.

While Ward used the phone, the unidentified woman left the room and allowed a third suspect, a white male, to enter armed with a shotgun.

The man who was renting the room says he was ordered to the floor and the two men stole an undetermined amount of money from him.

The three suspects were then seen getting into a 2001 Toyota with the Mississippi license plate RFP-865.
