Southerly winds continue to bring warmer air and moisture back to Mississippi. I expect fog, dense in areas, to develop late this evening and continue through mid-morning Friday. Lows in the lower to middle 40s.
Fog will burn off by 10am, with a mix of sun and clouds through the afternoon. Highs in the middle to upper 60s.
We'll reach 70 on New Year's Eve, then cooler air moves in for the first week of 2012. A few light rain showers are possible along the leading edge of the cooler airmass, but New Year's Day will not be a complete wash out.
Dry and chilly weather to start the new work week with warming temperatures by mid to late week.
