Wow! Many of you reached the lower 70s Friday afternoon. We'll have one more mild day, then we'll settle back into a cooler weather pattern for the first week of 2012.

We'll start New Year's Eve off with temperatures in the 40s, rising into the lower 70s by afternoon.

Clouds will increase Saturday evening. A few light rain showers or sprinkles are possible late Saturday night into Sunday morning as a cold front crosses our area.

Skies will clear behind the front and northerly winds will usher in cooler air. Highs will be in the 60s on New Year's Day.

The true cold air will arrive Monday and Tuesday. Highs will be in the 40s both days. The coldest temperatures will be Monday night, when lows in the 10s and lower 20s are possible. That cold air will have a bite to it after the 70s on Saturday. Get ready to bundle up!
